I had the honor of being on the executive board of the Inaugural 2022 CEC Diversity Gala at UofSC. As a Latina in STEM, knowing that I was a part of the group that gave our diverse students within the college of engineering and computing, a professional event focused on diversity in STEM, was incredibly rewarding. After four months of planning, it was fulfilling seeing it all come together, where students and professionals were able to enjoy a free dinner and expand their network.
